So my goal to be more present on my blog is not going so well. Sorry about that.
Tonight is the annual Link to Pink event with the Florida Gator Gymnastics team. There is a reception pre-meet for survivors and their families and/or friends, then the meet with the survivors forming a tunnel for the team to run under as they take the floor.
I am planning on attending but so far have been unable to find anyone to go with me. I have discovered one thing through this process is that celebrating surviving is something that helps me. I am not sure why, but I think it is because everything happened so fast for me after my diagnosis and I did not really have time to think about much.
The people who would really go to something like this with me are there...unfortunately they live way to far away. So I guess I will go by myself with the understanding that I am still going through this alone as the people that are my real support system are just not geographically close.
